Why Us?

""Exciting new advances in DNA testing now make it possible to trace all your ancestry with a single test. Autosomal testing with the DNA Fingerprint gives you an analysis of your entire ancestry, not just of one male or one female line"".

We are contracting out with DNA Consultants to do this kind of testing.

The testing is done almost exactly like the non-legal paternity kits.

The DNA Fingerprint Test™

Our exclusive, best-selling DNA Fingerprint Test examines all your ancestral lines at once, to tell you which countries and ethnic groups your ancestors came from. The test confirms any Native American, African or Asian ancestry; if you are primarily European, you will also receive your top ten matches from different European countries. Your DNA Fingerprint can also help explain the origin of physical traits that you or your relatives may possess. Unlike other autosomal tests, the DNA Fingerprint Test computes the likelihood of its matches on the basis of contemporary populations, not ancient world migrations or evolutionary theory.

We will send you a package with a collection kit and instructions. You will collect a sample with a cheek swab, and return the kit via a prepaid business reply envelope. Your sample will be analyzed against 16 standard STR markers, also called CODIS markers. Your values for 15 of these genetic systems are compared with databases known as the Omnivore 360 and ENFSI, developed by population experts.

Then, our genealogy experts take your DNA results and evaluate the relative strength and weakness of your matches to arrive at an overall picture of your primary ancestries. You will also receive a world ancestry map and certificate of testing. It takes about two weeks for analysis of the sample and results. We also provide a free update after one year’s time.

The DNA Fingerprint Test can be taken by anyone, regardless of gender. This is ideal for women, who cannot otherwise test their father's line without a brother or other male to take the sex-related Y chromosome test. It is not confined to just your two ""outside"" male-male or female-female lines (which many believe make this autosomal test more practical and accurate). This also makes the DNA Fingerprint Test ideal for situations where relatives are deceased or unknown (as in adoptive families).

The 18 Marker Ethnic Panel checks your lab report for 18 distinctive numerical values scattered through your genetic material. These markers were discovered by DNA Consultants. They have been linked to early human migrations branching out of Africa into Asia, Native America and Europe. Your report will tell you if you have the marker from one parent, from both, or from neither. Read more about the 18 Marker Ethnic Panel.

The DNA Fingerprint Test™ PLUS

DNA Fingerprint Test Plus 18 Marker Ethnic Panel

Our exclusive, best-selling DNA Fingerprint Test examines all your ancestral lines at once, to tell you which countries and ethnic groups your ancestors came from. The DNA Fingerprint Plus adds a higher level of resolution by telling you if your profile contains any of 18 newly discovered ethnic markers. The test and ethnic panel confirm any Native American, African or Asian ancestry; if you are primarily European, you will also receive your top ten matches from different European countries.

Ethnic Markers

TABLE

Your report will tell you if you have the marker from one parent, from both, or from neither. Of course, it is not possible to say which parent you get a marker from, and the fact that you do not have a marker does not mean that you lack that ancestry.

The 18 Marker Ethnic Panel can be useful for revealing whether previous testing produced a ""false positive"" for Sub-Saharan African, Asian or other unexpected results, as well as confirming Native American and other types.

What is DNA Reunion testing?

DNA Reunion is an advanced technology based registry that harnesses the power of DNA to reunite adoptees and their birth parents. The power of DNA allows for reunification without knowing any biographical information about the birth relative you are searching for.

Participation in the DNA Reunion registry is simple, easy and painless.

When is Adoption testing needed?

On average, there are approximately 120,000 adoptions each year in the United States, with inter-country adoptions accounting for more than 15 percent of all adoptions. It is estimated that there are over 6 million adopted children living in the United States today.

Despite the wonders of adoption, there often comes a time in the lives of both adopted children and their biological parents to seek each other out. The decision to search can be varied, however it is often triggered by major life events such as seeking medical history, marriage or the birth of a child.

In modern medicine, the medical history of biological parents can be extremely useful in diagnosis and treatment of disease in decendents.
