Our forensic DNA services include STR, Y-STR, mtDNA casework, forensic paternity testing, and animal DNA testing. We also provide case review and consultation services to defense attorneys.
The forensics program used at Rapid Screenings was built with the guiding principle that each individual sample has a story with considerable implications.
With systems built for efficiency and an eye for detail, each case and each sample undergoes comprehensive peer scrutiny prior to an subsequent to analysis to ensure accurate and definitive results.
Rapid DNA Testing is focused on providing DNA analysis in the following three different areas of DNA testing:
The strength of an analytical report begins with strict chain of custody and analytical methods geared for detail.
An advanced evidence screening laboratory is staffed with seasoned forensic scientists and equipped with an arsenal of validated techniques and technologies to afford rigorous and comprehensive screening.
Our selected laboratories have invested in first class instrumentation, including digital video and photography imaging systems for both macroscopic and microscopic evidence documentation and 400W SPEX MiniCrime Scope.
With conventional paternity testing it is customary to collect a voluntary or court ordered buccal sample from an alleged father or individual for DNA analysis.
In certain circumstances it may be either difficult to confront an individual or they might be deceased or otherwise not available to give a DNA sample. In these circumstances, abandoned evidence can often be useful in answering relationship questions.
While the results will likely not be court admissible, unless collected by a third party investigator, they can provide valuable information on family relationships.
DNA testing is a highly technical process and forensic testing requires extreme accuracy, thoroughness and documentation. When the two disciplines are combined, only a laboratory with expert, experienced staff and critically refined processing techniques can provide the level of performance needed to assure quality results that will withstand the rigorous review required to hold up in a court of law.
